cb receives only static

this is of my bike, but with Diag4Bike and under "Radio Customizations", print it and take it to the shop, maybe it will help them find it, or maybe see if the guy above knows the tech that straightened it out on his bike... call him and explain what you have going on and he could tell you/your shop where to look in Digital Tech.

Below is a screen shot of Digital Tech from this youtube video, that I believe shows the specific screen you are looking for at the 27:27 mark (start at the 27:00 mark to see how he gets there, and the other screens under "Radio").
"CB Frequency" in the video (screen shot) it's set to "Disabled" probably because the bike they are working on doesn't have a CB. This video is about installing WHIM in a bike, but inadvertently it shows the screen you are asking about, as the guys flipping thru everything to verify all of his settings are correct for what he is doing..

CB should be AM. Some consumers CB's will transmit and receive SSB (single side band) . I don't believe it's even a choice on these modes. For those that have had this issue, we're you able to hear anything other than static? I don't use my CB much, but it is pretty staticy.
It would be interesting to see if I could install a 2 meter FM radio on the bike.

I have a 21 triglide and I installed a motorola xtl5000 vhf with an 03 head under the batwing in the amp bracket. Made an antenna bracket installed on the am/fm stud. I have a CB and and took the speaker wires and put it in with cb molex connector in place of the HD aux cable. Works with either the bike speakers or my wireless headset. I would like to figure out the "break in" while listening to music. fyi I am on a locale fire department.
