Rockfod Fosgate Amp issues
I have an 2009 ultra that i have installed a Jensen HD1BT head unit and a Rockford Fosgate Punch pbr300x4 amp.
the question i have is that i installed everything and the amp works fine without the blue remote power wire hooked up.
when i hook it up shuts off.
the wiring is all plug and play for harley davidson, no hack wire job.
thoughts?

I'm betting you're using high-level (speaker) inputs to the amp. Once again, RF chose to be "unique" in how they use the REM lead. If the DC offset isn't properly set the REM becomes an output trigger and not an input to sense when to turn on. Normally I'm a fan of using speaker-level inputs if available...except when it comes to the funky way RF uses REM as an output to trigger other devices when using high-level inputs.
If you check the REM connection with a MM and the blue wire disconnected I'm thinking you will see 12V there with the radio turned on. Try adjusting the HL Adjust to the point where you don't see 12V. At this point the amp will shut down and be looking for a REM input. Now try connecting the blue wire. If there is power on it the amp should now power up.
If you can't get it working to your liking (at least this RF amp has the ability to adjust the point at which REM becomes an output) you might look to putting in an LoC between the radio and amp and use low-level (less than 4V) inputs. Then you could turn the amp on using the REM lead connected to a switched 12V input
In case you don't have it handy here is a link to the manual.
EDIT: or if everything works ok with the blue REM wire disconnected just leave it as is. You don't have to use REM to turn that amp on. Just make sure that when the bike and HU are shut down that the amp is also powering off.
