Many Thanks , This is getting clearer, but the waters still cloudy. (My Mama raised a simple man here...) One last question. My playback source is an Apple Ipod Nano, wired direct and velcro'd to the insde wall of the enclosure. I was wondering if my Iphone , blue toothed would be different on sound quality ???

Again, can you pull the fairing off to look at the amp settings?
You dont NEED a dsp. Perhaps once you get your speakers sounding good, you can get a little more out of them with a dsp, that might be something to look at.

Like I said....hard to tell without knowing how your amp is set up and where they set your gains.

If you're not comfortable doing that, I'd find another reputable motorcycle audio shop near you. Bike audio and Car audio are not the same, so make sure they know and work on bikes.
