I used the HD Rockford Stage 2 speakers fairing and bags with a Rockford TM400Xad amp in the fairing. Also added the RF DSR1 DSP. Sounds great. Mostly plug and play using Rockford harness.

Yeay Stay away from RF, soundz, hog wired, Rokker...allthose over priced under performing kits.

The cicada stuff I hear is great. Other than that, piecing together a system is much better, music and equipment quality wise as well as cost.

as far as budget, idk, less than $2000 just for fairing and amp. I’m really just open to anything bad ***
Just a FYI..... I can hear my bag speakers just fine at highway speeds and I also have a rather loud exhaust in the D&D FatCat. Stinger amp and Hertz speakers.

You know when I did my upgrade I installed the RF/HD Stage ii speakers first as I was still waiting on a few pieces. Everyone immediately says just upgrading the speakers is a waste and you have to add an amplifier. I rode the bike for about three weeks with just the speaker upgrade and the sound quality and fullness was noticeably improved. Volume was only slightly louder and probably just the better sound quality of the three way speakers but it actually sounded great. In your original post you said you were looking for something "a little better" and just the speakers are a noticeable improvement and may do it for you. For $350 it may be all you need but if more is needed then an amp and the HD/RF bag speakers could be added. As i said before adding the RF DSR1 DSP really made the entire system sound great.
