Not sure if I like that or not. I am running 2 1200.4's in the fairing and I would worry about heat.

I don't think it's much different from putting the outer fairing back on. Basically it's a thin skin to keep water out. The outer fairing would keep the same heat in. There is plenty of air coming in from underneath and in back. What I like is it slides underneath where the outer fairing joins the inner fairing so if you get a leak there it'll just roll down. Also if your bike is parked outside and in a rainstorm with wind blowing from the back of the bike water could get through the vent and drop right on the amp. This way it rolls down the cover and no harm.

I have one on my street glide. Got poured on on the way to Pittsburgh my Sony radio and amp stayed dry. It works great.

That's great...I don't see a downside... it evens adds a little insurance when washing the bike too.
