Default PAC SNI-35 setting when setting gains?

I have a stinger SPX 700 X4 amp that I am installing with MMat PA 601CX speakers in my ‘21 Road Glide. I have the PAC SNI-35 converter and it has adjustments on it. Before I start setting gains for the amp I want to make sure that I have the right setting on the SNI.

The SNI-35 came with the dials turned full up. I have now set them at the midpoint i.e. 12 o’clock. Can somebody please tell me where I should set them before I start setting gains? Does it matter as long as I set the gain properly?

Thanks

Mine were set about in the middle and I did not touch them. I have an SD amp and they can be sensitive.

Stock head unit?
If yes, it is flashed?

Your adjustment will all depend on HU voltage output and amp

stock head unit. Rockford flashed. I oscilloscoped the head unit 3 bars from max is where distortion starts.

I read the directions. Not much help.

Where did you measure that? If at the speaker outputs then that is now your max volume setting on the HU. Now retest on the RCA outputs of the LoC and adjust accordingly. Then move on to the amp gain settings.
