Default Help with rk audio

I know this topic has been beat to death lol, I have actually searched to my ability to try and find all the answers. Where i am at currently, SS pn4.100d, Mmats pa601cx and pa690cx, rumble road amplified pods. I got the rr just to hook up for now until i get everything else installed but it would be nice to be able to put a set of mmats in them and hook up with the rest if possible later.
As far as sound quality would lower fairings or pods such as tune tatas be equal or better? Wanting to put the 6x9s in lids that will have to be ordered as well. Should i put another set of 6.5 in tour pack pods, as i have a tour pack on it for the wife? What controller would you reccomend?
This is all on a 2011 road king standard. Thanks for your help

I did 7” headlight buckets mounted on my kings crash bar with 6.5” PRV carbons wired to a Stetsom 800 bridged and it’s loud as f**k. I have the 2 6.5s up front and 2 10’s in the rear and it’s very well balanced. Obviously a speaker like a diamond coax would give a more full range up front as the PRV’s cut off around 12k hz but I like it that way. About anything you do in 7” buckets will be louder than the rumble pods

Excuse my ignorance, but what is a dsp? I have seen it referred to and am assuming its some type of preamp audio eq? Also, the rr pods will be in addition to 6.5 pods or lower fairings. Do you think the 7.5 buckets are as good or better than the tune tatas? I was looking at them because it seems like the centerline of the speaker would close to the bar with them than the headlight buckets. I am not opposed to the headlights bucket idea, provided it looks nice. Could ypu load a pic of your setup?

DSP is a Digital sound processor. Not necessary with certain speakers and amp combos but I will let someone more experienced than me chime in on them. All I know is it helped my system sound a lot cleaner and more detailed for my liking.

Sweet bike! Those headlight buckets look pretty good! Is that the 7" Volkswagen buckets? How are they as far as clearance for your feet?

Here’s the link for the ones I bought, they also come in chrome. I have zero clearance issues with my heel toe shifter and brake, standard shift may differ but you can move em around for more clearance.

Thank you for the link, what did you use to mount them to the bars? They currently have black and stainless in stock. Thinking about trying the black just because the bike has so much chrome already.

https://www.steelhorseaudio.com

they supply crash bar clamps in chrome or black.

also you’ll need wood, or the plastic speaker rings that snug inside the headlight housing then you drill your speakers to those. I got the 6.5" Speaker Ring 12mm PVC Large from https://soundmekanix.jimdo.com
