I used that one on a few bikes and boats. And yes, it works mounted in the bag.

 

Seems like it would make wiring easier if it was in the bag with the amp then? If you have your phone hooked to a charging cable will it still run the bluetooth properly? Sorry if this is a stupid question I have never used blutooth much. I was looking at the mtx controller with the handle bar mount, thinking that possibly i could mount it in the dash panel by the speedometer.

 

I used a charger all the time. I also picked up a couple media buttons, put one on the fuel tank, for volume and to skip songs. They worked okay. I added a Dayton dsp with Bluetooth later, and would stream music direct into that as well. They both worked great. The only issue I had, was leaving my WiFi on. While riding the phone would try to connect to different networks. Just an FYI, turn that off while riding...

 

I'm following this Wfo. I have a 98RK in addition to the CVO softail that I am stumbling through a simple install on.

 

I'm resurrecting this post because, I want to know if the OP is happy with the sound and quality coming out of this system. Thoughts?

I sent morel00 a PM and he responded immediately...advised on how to make the pods. I will be doing this for my 09 Ultra on the engine guards with a set of Hertz SX 165 Neo...will keep this thread posted.

Did you order the rings? I'm not sure which I would need for my GZ 6.5s
