Speed volume?

I guess it depends on the head unit. On my older HK pre-Rushmore head unit all it does is slightly increase the volume as you get up to about 55 mph, then it stops turning it up. I have used this feature for years without problems.
I don't know how the newer Rushmore head units handle this function though. If all it does is slightly increase the volume up to a certain speed I don't see a problem. If it is some sort of funky gain adjustment then it could be dangerous. I seem to recall some of the Rushmore guys saying they used it, maybe they can chime in with more details.

Makes me glad I have an older bike in a way. I really like the AVC. I live in a remote region and with the twisty curvy roads I'm on just getting to a highway the speed varies wildly. Kind of a nice feature to have.
