Default Road glide dual 800.4 amp rack?

Well I've started to order some parts for my install and I'm going to run yellow baskets in fairing and saddlebag so I'm wanting to run 2 x 800.4 evo x is there a amp rack to fit them both in the fairing.

Bike is a 2018 rgs

^^^^^^. What exact speakers? DSP? Flash?
I hope your not on the "SD 800.4 needed for each set of 6.5 GZ coax" train. It's overkill

Dsr1 dsp
2018 radio (will be flashed)
6.5 gzcf coax (admittly is prolly overkill)
7x10 gzcf coax in lids

So each gzcf will get 400wrms
If I went 2 x 400.4 or a single 1200.4 the speakers would get 200wrms which may be a bit low for my liking.

I rather do it once and do it right.

I'll be ordering everything from to aust so just don't want to wait 30 days for a extra amp to rock up.

I'll run a 4ga from a stinger battery to fairing and runs 4ga/dual 8ga distro block in there.

I have digital ollliscope and multimeters to help me tune it.

I've asked my engine builder if they can flash the radio they said yes so I'll just tell them what flash I want (prolly a Rockford one) and what features to enable. Plus I'll go stage 2 at same time.

I'm just after a loud system that's noticeably louder than my current 4 x 5.25 Rockford punch system with 400wrms total. With out taking up my bag space as the bike will be for touring (I have a 150rwhp fxlrs for fun)

You are prolly right but the next size amp is 200wrms which may be a touch small.

It's a case of better to have and not need than need than need and not have. I'll set gains at a lower rate.

Nothing has been ordered yet so if you guys have a better set up I'm all ears. You guys know my rough budget and if it's borderline just go the next step up.

People telling you not to run 400 watts to those speakers doesn't mean you need to drop to a weaker amp. There's a thing known as setting your target voltage when setting up your amps. Just because that amp does 400 watts bridged doesn't mean that's what the speaker is going to get. How much they get is up to you!!! Put a little more time into learning what it is you're trying to do before wrecking a good set of speakers. FWIW 300 watts and a really good tune is a good spot for those speakers. Until you learn how to tune, I'd set the watts at 250. Just a little food for thought.
