Quick mock up to make an 8" mid bass work seems plausible with some modified or custom rings.
Hmmmmmm..... Is the juice worth the squeeze tho?

I bought the vtwin adapter and still had to cut out some of the inner pieces of the pak pod as well as losing the controller on the right side and the plug on the left side… to me it was worth it to fit the gz yb speakers in there… and being a 15 mine were already ported…

Wow! You got the GZ's in your TP pods...I'm impressed! Good to know it can be done.

I also have an extra Diamond amp to drive them laying around collecting dust.....
I used the PRV mid-Bass 6MB250-NDY-4. Direct bolt in. I put a cheap CV B54 amp in the tour pack to power them. I was really surprised how well this setup works. I wanted to make it easy to remove the tour pack so I used quick connects on everything. I only use it when I go on long rides.

FWIW I just replaced vtwin pod adapters because I really like the look of the gz grille vs the one they ship to you with the adapter… I used a metra universal 1 inch adapter ring and the supplied ring and grille from gz over top of that with the mods I made inside the pod I still had plenty of room for the magnets… it doesn’t look as pretty around the pod because it’s not form fitting like the vtwin adapter but it works!

@Juice, It doesn't look like you used any adapter rings for the pods. How were you able to get the GZ's in there? I tried heating and forming the pods but the magnet would still hit the brass mounting threads to mount the pod on the TP.
