Default Issue with interface Sony 7000

I just got my Sony 7000 installed with the handlebar interface and all it really does well is the volume. I can’t get it to skips tracks except for once in a while. Anybody experience this or know how to fix it?

I have similiar issue with my sony 5000 i installed a few years ago. Volume up and down is fine, just side to side track selection, i find sometimes the switch is unreponsive.
I assumed a had a failing switch, but been the same since installing it. Not sure what issue is.

Double check the remote wire where it plugs into the head unit. That is not the best system and can come loose. Be sure it is plugged in all the way. I had the same issue with 2 of them.

Yes, we swapped the interface to a Axxess InterfaceASWC-1. that fixed the part of it, then as Gypsye posted, the remote wire has to be seated all the way, fixed the forward.

My controls didn't work with my 7000 right away either. After resetting the Axxess modules and "relearning" several times to no avail, I unplugged the module(s) and plugged them back in, and did the same to the HU wiring harness. Something in the disconnecting/reconnecting fixed the issue - I assume it was a connection that was not fully seated.
