4 speaker setup

I bet those speakers sound phenomenal bridged from a JL XD amp. That amp will definitely do more than rated power if you can test with a DD1 or oscilloscope. Would a dsp help? Yes it would but if you don't know how to use and don't want to pay someone to tune it I would leave it alone personally. Try it without a dsp and if you're not happy then add one.
Some people keeping saying you need to send 400 watts to them because a professional told them that. That is fine and all but I personally wouldn't do it because you are gonna lose the speakers key quality of the lower frequency capability. At 400 watts they probably crossed at 150-175 hz vs 200 watts crossed at 75-80 hz.

Or run 200 watts and have them sound OK or send 300-400 and make them come alive. At 200 watt a they sound no better imho than 99% of the coxials out there. Ran them at 200 crossed at 70 hertz. Run them at 325 crossed at 100 hertz and it's night and day. They are much louder and the bass hits much harder from 200 to 325. The guys running 400 watts are crossing them around 135 hertz not 175 hertz. Regardless of crossover point from 70 to 100 theres no doubt they sound much better w more power.

What other coax speakers have you heard? At 200 watts from a JL amp those speakers would shine more than you would think.

The JL amps don't make big power in a compact frame. Personally I think the JL amps sound better naturally than every other amp I have tried. Which is why I run 2 in my bike. May not have the same power as other guys but my bike sounds ok

Lol keep running your 200 watts. I know you know it all more than some of the best in the country. What shop do you own again. These speakers sound like every other speaker out there at 200 watts but what do I know. I'm lying lol . Terrible advice

Never once did I claim to know anything. Why don't you run 400 watts to them and see what happens??? You keep talking like you know but you don't **** aside from what others tell you. Good luck with your future audio endeavors.

I plan on it hence why I picked up a another set. I think I can get 75 more watts out of them safely. If they don't sound as good at 400 all it is 4 screws and a little time on the dsp and rta. I think I have stated numerous times that's the plan cowboy
You're just a plethora or information yourself. Maybe one day I can get to your level.
You and gypsy are the only two guys in the audio world only sending 200 250 watts to them but yes you know what's best. Your ears will tell you a lot then again some of you may have really old or bad ears 👂
