Default 8 inch subs in bags

Fellas I'm looking at adding a set of 8 inch subs to my stock bags. I use my bags quite a bit and I'm not gonna buy a tour pack. That being said how much room is left in the bags ( can I see a pics). Or I'm I better off keeping my oem bags and buying a cheap set of advanblack and making them my subwoofer bags w quick disconnect to swap out bags super fast. If I'm doing that should I just go to two tens w a 1200x4 bridged or put a 800 I'm each bag. What's the typical setup?

There won't be much room after sealing the bags for subs. Maybe enough for a couple tshirts/jacket. If you want subs invest in a good set of fiberglass bags and reinforce them further and add some dowels. You may be better off with 10" midbass mounted in the rear of the bags if you need the room. Some of them can play pretty damn low.

This is a little 6 speaker setup I just finished with midbass 10's:

Completely agree that subs will require a ton of work...sealed bags and the whole nine yards. Consider a good 10" midbass speaker and give it plenty of power. If I was gonna cut a hole in my bags it would not be for an 8!!!!

OK guys yea I'm definitely not buying fiberglass kit and reinforcing the whole 9 yards. Looks like a 8 inch or 10 mid bass driver mounted in the bag is what I'm after then. Thanks guys you made this real ez lol

Ever see those 8" lids that you can get? Use those and then the bags are empty.

Regarding inside the bag strategies, you either go all in or accept what u have. 10s and no less. The middle ground is a huge waste of cash and time as the return will be disappointing.

I appreciate the honest reasons. So are you saying say no to 8 mod bass drivers in the bags? I will end up getting a new set of bags just for the subs so I think 10 makes sense

I have never heard a pair of 8s in each bag (4 8"s in total) sound as good as just one 10 in each bag let alone one 8 in each bag. Even with 4 8s in total the presence and low end pound is just not there.
Someone can try and talk engineering and speaker cone area and all of that jazz but the ears don't lie. I seriously doubt that there will be more than a couple folks that have had their ears on a couple of parking lot wonders that will disagree.
The 10 in each bag is the way to go if properly set up via fabrication and speaker selection for the airspace to include the most efficient use of watts being spent.
