Default SD 800.4 amp with PA601cx?

I was suggested by you guys this pair up for my budget. SD 800.4 amp with PA601x speakers. But as we know, budgets sometimes expand lol....let's call this a "scope creep" in this fine project that I am about to embark on...

Anyways, what would be the next best speakers in line that would work well with this amp? I listen to pretty much everything, except country...but mostly it would be heavier rock, on the borderline of metal.

Thanks for any suggestions guys!

Yup the GZ 6.5 SPL's if you can find a pair. Next step IMO would be going to component set up, but that might require re-thinking about your current amp as well.

I am looking to replace the factory shitty setup lol. I don't have an amp now. Just doing my game plan now trying to figure out what would be the best amp and speaker combo to buy without spending a fortune (around $800?)

With that said, I will only have speakers in a batwing, since I do not have lower fairings and most likely will not have them due to SE breather. I doubt I will ever need a set in bags too. I just want something that is better than this shitty setup they put in the bike from the factory. I mean, I can't even hear anything on the freeway without turning it up to 11.

--SD 1200.4
--GZ coax in fairing
--Mmats pa601cx or Hertz Sx neo's in lowers
--HU flash

If you don't want a 1200.4 and want 800.4, I would do Mmats in both locations then.

He said he doesnt have lowers and bag speakers are not in play. SO a 2 speaker set up. So the 800 for a pair of GZ's would be fine, wouldn;t it?

My bad, misread. Thought maybe you were asking a newer type of question. The only 2 speaker setup anyone talks about is 800.4 and GZ. I personally think it's overkill for the average guy. There are many other amp options for those speakers: Jl MX 500/4, Euphoria FM 100.4, Mmats 4110
