Maybe the AdvanBlack holes in the grilles are larger than the RF set up?
I've got a similar set up on my RK using the SKNit covers and work well for me.
I'd rather Not take any chances of water getting in my bags either... I have my amp in my LH bag.... so personally I'm not taking any chances on mine either.
I'll have to take a better look when I meet up with him in the near future.
Just trying to get some forum members feedback to see if any other similar experiences.
Thanks!
I"m sure I could have been more specific for what to look for. You could turn the lids over and shine a flashlight underneath and look to see where you see light come through. A lot of times a speaker may not fit the hole it is pressed up against perfectly. When I installed my Polks I did that and found one tiny hole that was not covered by the speaker gasket so I filled it in with a dab of silicone.

Also I confess I don't know anything about those 6x9s he has. If they are just water "resistant" then I wonder if water could actually be coming in through the speaker. Maybe someone that runs those Mmats can chime in.

True and That's always a possibility.... but that's the reason for the lid covers.
The covers (which are suppose to not allow water in).... is allowing water inside and his bags are getting a small puddle at the bottom.
So even if there are numerous areas that can be seen.... the lid covers are supposed to stop that from happening.
