Default Fairing Gasket

Hey guys, I'm back up and running and really want to get my bike cleaned up. I keep noticing some gaps between the inner and outer fairings, mainly up by the windshield (batwing) I can see how even a a little water could get in there an cause havok.

Is there a way to seal these spots up, or a thicker gasket to fill in around the entirety of the fairing?

I can use some detail spray and work around the issue, but then Im worried about getting caught in the rain.

you can buy the gasket that sticks to the inside of the outer fairing where it meets the screen

Its going to @Lucky 7 Custom Cycles on Saturday to fix my wiring mess. I figured it was about time to have a professional redo my amateur work. I guess I'll see what that does to the gap.

That ^^^^^. Nailed it!!! If that outer and inner don't fit, it's operator error and not a time for caulk or gaskets. Dive in and assess the details associated with why it doesn't fit as intended.

Awesome brother!!! The troops at L7 are awesome!!! Just don't let the head honcho push any of that overpriced Euphoria Expert shix on you. Their best installs I have ever heard where when they were primarily a Beyma shop, not DB Drive.

No, Louie is just doing a straight cleanup and rewiring my rear horns. Im tired of amateur problems when I have as much money invested as I do. I'll add some midbass, but my budget doesn't fit Euphoria.

When I bought my 2017 SG brand new I noticed the gaps you're talking about. When I installed my Sony 7000 I was worried about water getting inside the fairing. A quick spray with the 'shower' setting on my garden hose showed water inside the fairing. I started have a look around. On either side of the windscreen, there are are ~1" long gaps of ~1/4" (these will always be there no matter how tight you bolt the outer fairing on). Along the windscreen, the outer fairing gets wavy between the bolts and leaves gaps. The fairing vent also has gaps and leaks into the fairing. I was planning on closing these gaps up with some weather-stripping, but decided to wrap my Sony instead.
