I guess warm would be ok, hot is another matter. I've seen reviews both ways. Hoping that I get lucky. Bought used so not getting clobbered.

Great speaker for that location. It will require a DSP to bandpass it in it's wheel house.

The price is definitely good.
Would that speaker work decent with G2s in the fairing? Would be powering them off of the TX48.
I already have the Dayton DSP.

that would work fine as long as a dsp is in play.

Another speaker that used to be popular is the Mmats PA-601.4. It is a cheap PA speaker that has a frequency range of about 100Hz to 6000Hz and can be purchased marine treated. I can hear mine fine bandpassed with 150w going to them. Also I found out after trying other speakers that they will fit in the Fairing Factory lowers without needing spacers under them.

Im running the same amp with Arc Moto 602s in the fairing and the lowers. Im very happy with the sound.

ETA- Ive tried the Mmats speakers a couple of times. Like having an icepick driven into your ears. Nothing but highs. Thats why I have a couple sets of them on the shelf after very little use.

I like the sound of the 602's as well, I'm just looking for the next level of loud.

Did you run a DSP with the Mmats? Are those CX or non-CX Mmats?

Which mmats have you tried?

The 601cx are pretty warm speakers and not piercing at all imo.

I'm currently using the DB Moto WDX6 G2'S. They are not a cheap alternative, and do require a little modification to fit in the lowers but they sure work well from the lowers.
I have only used coax speakers in the lowers and haven't tried any mids down their.
i have tried the Mmats coax which was ok, but the tweeter was very directional, and was a little too much off axis for the tweeter to really be a benefit.
I've moved the Mmats PA601.4cx up to the fairing, and have the G2's in the lowers. They transition great with the Mmats and create a great wall of sound. It is hard to tell where one speaker starts and the other ends when you try to listen for separation. The highs seem to disperse well and be less directional. The bonus is the efficiency and the volume without a ton of power. They do have a different sound then the Mmats, but they work extremely well together.
Others found them ear bleeding bright in the fairing, but once broke in and tuned, I enjoyed them enough in the fairing that I'm considering putting them back in the fairing. That has me considering a mid in the lowers this time around.
I've even considered leaving the G2's in the lowers and looking for something better in the fairing.
Not everyone enjoyed the G2's, but I've been happy with them. I got by fine with the EQ in my Stinger, but the Dayton DSP has definitely helped.

Ground Zero black baskets are at the top of my list for volume and clarity from the lowers. 300W each and they'll melt your face.
