Easy Tunes on FXBB
Hey guys, thought I'd post up my music solution for my 2020 Street Bob. I looked for a long time and didn't find something that checked all the boxes for me, so I came up with this:
The parts list:
$9.10
$110.47
2x 3-1/2" Snug-Fit Vibration Dampening Loop $7.02
2x 316SS Shoulder Screw (3/8" shoulder, 1/4-24) $8.76
2x 316SS Locknut (1/4-24) $6.18
Grand Total $141.53
You're probably not going to hear it at 70+ MPH, but I can hear it fine tooling around the city at <55MPH. No wiring into the factory harness (add-on cable or otherwise). No ugly speaker pods sticking up. The speaker is waterproof and has a battery life of up to 15 hours, but you can charge it with the USB port as you ride. Both the volume buttons are huge, and it tucks in nicely behind my fairing. Might not be an ideal solution for everyone, but compared to the Kuryakyn MTX bar at >$400 it suits my riding just fine. Pictures below show the actual mounting position (drivers facing me) as well as what the volume buttons look like when it isn't optimally positioned.
