Default Amp upgrade assistance!

Upgrading assistance needed. Came across a free Rock DSR1, I just need to order a replacement harness. What’s a good amp to replace the soundstream PN4.1000D? It’s currently running MMATS PA601s in the lowers, and the PRV 6MR500CF’s in the fairing. I plan on moving the soundstream to the rear bags to replace my JL JX400D(located in the rear bag). The soundstream will power my DDVO W8s and PRV TW450 tweeters.

15 SG

HU: Sony XAV-AX100

Thanks in advance!

Brian

How about the SD 800evox or even the stinger 700.

How does the front sound now? The reason I ask is those tweeters in the rear won’t handle the power from that amp unless you dial it back a ton. You have any tweeters with the prv’s in the fairing? Are your lowers the 601cx coax or just the 601 woofers? If the mmats are the 601coax, I would move them to the fairing and run the prv’s in the lowers. Now that you have a dsp then a sd800.4 evox will do you justice both front and rear. That sound stream will only fit against the back or front wall of your bags and be hard to get to the adjustments while in the bag. You might just want to keep it up front since it is already in there. Just a thought.

From a size perspective alone it hard to beat the evox line up.

Thanks for the info guys!

I currently do not have any tweeters installed, but I plan on putting the PRV tweeters in the fairing. I do not have the 601cx coaxial but the 601 mid-bass drivers/woofers. I know the evox is a great amp from reading different threads. It might be possible that I could get my hand on a db Euphoria amp for a little of nothing, but I don't know anything about that brand.

Thanks,

Brian

Someone is selling a brand new Stinger Amp (still boxed) for less then you can buy on Amazon right now.

if it’s an expert series amp and you can fit it then grab it. I haven’t used one yet but everyone I know that has likes them. Just a bigger footprint than the SD stuff

Thanks again guys! And I will check out the classified section. I'm reading up on how to adjust this DSR1, so when I install it out want be completely in the dark. I have a feeling its going to be a lot of trial and error.
