Why Mmats? Convince me please
#11
I'm going to give the Mmats a shot. I found some online yesterday and bought 4 new PA601cx that are water treated. Now I just have to figure out what to power them with and piece everything together. Thanks for the replies, I didn't expect to hear any differently since I've read nothing but good things about them.
One more thing to note. If you like listening to your FM radio, many amps interfere with that. Just an FYI.

Just wanted to give a little info. Lots of folks like the Stinger amp for the price point. I have been eyeballing the amp on Amazon for about 1 month. Currently selling retail for $314.00. But I kept checking price daily. Then on July 1st, it went back down to $180.72. I said to myself that morning, I will wait. Well, I went ahead and ordered it. Good thing I did order it, 1 hour later it was back to $314.00.
I'm more of a engine performance guy, but I too am working on getting all my audio stuff together for my sound build. I think your on the right track!

Ok I’m almost set.
4 of the Mmats PA601cx 4 ohm
Stinger SPX700X4
Vtwin Audio tour pack speaker rings and grills
Biketronics Rushmore Ultra amplifier kit
My big question now is what kind of amp mount do I need? I also have to purchase the hot and ground cable setup but that should be easy.

Also, you're going to need to heat and reshape those front speaker pods for those mmats to fit and you'll have to rotate them where the logo is upside down.
Wont you need some bt355 line levelers?

I didn't use an amp mount for my RGS. The stinger will sit sideways right on the back lip of the headlight tucked under the head unit. Couple pieces of velcro to hold it down.

Im pretty sure there are some shops that have some in stock.
I ran the 601cx and 690cx on my previous bike with the stinger amp and loved it! For that price, right now they're hard to beat. Although the stinger amp prices right now are stupid and not worth the 300+.
I think I was all in for less that 1500 and that was counting 350 install including cutting my lids with the RF lid kit, installing the amp and front speakers and running all new wiring. Then sold the RF speakers for 100 to 150 I think.
Try audio advantage in SC for the speakers. They had some in stock last week.

When you went from the RF to MMATS did you keep your RF amp or did you switch it out? I have the full RF setup but I feel the speakers aren't loud enough and the highs are lacking along with some bass. Im thinking about making the move, I just don't want to purchase a new amp
