Can anyone tell me if there is a aftermarket amp mount that can be used in a SGS? I removed my Hawg Wired amp from my 2017 SGS and attempted to install it in my 2020 SGS. My placement on the 2017 was right on top of the radio but the 2020 has a large white box (HD Connect Service Module) making it impossible to find room for the amp. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

 

As far as I know, H-D Connect has been discontinued except for the LiveWire. Remove the unit and throw it in the trash.

 

Yup, looks like you’re right. I would love to cut it out but I’m not going to give Harley any other reason to invalidate my warranty. As it is I installed the amp and new speakers myself- plug and play basically. The only place I could find to fit the white box was to Velcro it to the top of the inner fairing, above the headlight. The wire going to it is fairly long so it’s just one more thing to unplug along with the headlamp to take the fairing off. Thanks for the info, I really appreciate it. Safe riding.

Yes, is that a pic of the mount on your bike? The guy in the video says to tuck it into the left side of the radio but there’s no room for it. Thx

 

No, it's not my bike, I just saw this pic, and thought this may be what u were looking for. The mount was frabricated.

 

I'm not sure what the 2020's look like inside fairing, but I've seen amps crammed on the side of radios, with a little bit of imagination, may take some re-routing of wires

 

HD makes an amp mount tray and has an accessory mount (HD connect). I was going that route but this weekend, I"m unplugging the hd connect and will soon know if it causes a check engine light. If no light, it goes bye bye permanently.

 

Jester, that’s exactly what I was looking for. Can you please update me as to unplugging the HD Connect and wether any check engine light comes on. Thanks!
