It's unplugged, but I wound up going further and rewiring everything. Speaker wire, power/ground, etc. so won't be putting the fairing back on until prob thursday. I'll know soon. Sorry....

I did the same with my bike. Ran new wiring and removed tanks to lay the power wire inside the plastic harness. Thanks again.

I am running my power and ground in the frame of the bike, not in the plastic tray. Too many other wires in there to run two 4awg cables.

Default Wiring

Yea, I ran the power thru the harness and the negative to one of the 3 large bolts that hold the speaker cover that’s inside the fairing. It’s the top left bolt that’s a pain in the ***** to reach. I thought the harness was jammed also until I took it off, plenty of room. My 2017 had the channel in the frame but I didn’t see it on the 2020 SGS. Anyway, best of luck.

Even more room in the tray when you take out unnecessary harnesses you don't need anymore. Still ran my 4 gauge power and ground thru the frame though. 2020 Street Glide Special amp mount-photo507.jpg

Not according to the manufacturer. Ground to chasis.
