Much better system to be had for a lot less coin. Plug and play is subjective.

First, tell him not to waste his money. 2nd, plug and play is the biggest joke of a selling point that was ever invented in the motorcycle audio industry as far as I'm concerned. You can do your own research on here and put yourself together a far better system at 1/2 or more of the cost of these "plug and play" systems and it will be just as "plug and play" as theirs. My 2 cents.

totally agree, in fact what would be not plug and play? its almost impossible nowadays to buy something that wont utilize the factory connectors.

Tell him if he wants to upgrade, just do it once. The boom will be a waste of money for mediocre sound and minimal improvements, and he will just have to upgrade again. The only way they can sell that Boom Audio junk is by convincing people to buy the Plug and Play gimmick. Is he looking to upgrade his sound system or practice with some plug and play audio, before he decides to get to the real project.......which was to upgrade his audio. One of the worst audio upgrades you can do is HD boom audio.
Boom audio is like putting a 4 cyl motor in a dragster, just because it was plug and play, makes no logical sense.

i don't get it....I don't understand how HD got into bed with these folks

maybe it's HD that is the problem

I've not talked to one audio expert who has even a shred of respect for the HD's audio offerings

when I think about the bike that I bought, and how HD talks up these audio system, the word fraud comes to mind

i was told that there is no other bike in the world that has a better factory installed audio option

Boom is crap.....I've replaced two rear speakers....the only thing I did wrong.....was use the damn system

Who makes the Boom speakers? The Boom amps? Who makes the GT and GTS head units?

As EVERYONE has suggested against this purchase, I will suggest that your bud go hear a boom II system AT SPEED and a good aftermarket setup AT SPEED before he makes a final decision. That should make his choices much easier and save him some $$$.
