Mmats=real deal
So I made a bad choice and went with a local installer for audio upgrades. Im a hands on guy. I usually do all of my own work. Just did cams a few months ago. I was busy and figured I'd hand it over to a recommended shop. They installed a leveler, JL amp that they bridged, and Memphis speakers. The sound was loud and clear but just not "warm" and "dynamic". I took recommendations on MMATS speakers and all I can say is that they are fantastic. Its got the sound I expected and I'm very happy. I highly recommend them to anyone considering them!

I chased a lot of amps and speakers before ending up with the Stinger and Mmats combo. Like most people I've spent lots of good money on mediocre gear, with poor results.
I think what makes the Stinger and Mmats combo so popular is the fact that it sounds good, is reasonably priced, and is loud enough to get the job done. It's a bargain as far as in concerned.
Unfortunately you can spend a lot more money on a plug and play system, and still have a mediocre system that just can't compete with the good old Stinger and Mmats combo.

You could power the Mmats with an aftermarket HU, but that wouldn't do the Mmats any justice. You definitely want to use an amp with the Mmats to get the full benefit of installing them.
The Stinger SPX 700 is a great match with the Mmats.
