Here's what I'm planning:

HU - Stock 6.5GT
Amp - Stinger SPX700 $180
Speakers - Mmats PA601cx $235
Line Levelers - BT355 $85
Amp Install kit - Stinger $115
Total $615

Only doing the front speakers at this time

Questions -
Does the speaker install require anything other than modifying the pods? Will the factory grills work?
Is the amp install kit worth the $115
Anything else to consider?

Factory grills will work. Pods either have to be cut open or heated up to fit
Look for the Metra ST-AK8 amp kit. much cheaper and fits the bill. Just grab some 1.5 foot RCA cables - Stinger 4000 series are some of my favorites
Amp will fit front to back under stock radio. Unsure of left to right unless you cut headlight tabs off. That's your call.
I assume since this is an Ultra, you're only tapping into the front signal from HU to speakers to put the BT355. This should work fine. Rear speakers will be there but you just wont hear them over the mmats.

Remember to turn your AVC off in the audio section of the head unit. Set gains per instructions found in the forums. Max volume undistorted on a stock flash is around 3-5 bars from the top.
