My Kappas are rated at 75w RMS but I was wondering how much over that rating is safe? 80w? 100? What are you running to them?

 

75 RMS (Root Mean Square) peak like 200-225 Watts. What are you powering them with? I tune by ear. Set your head unit to 3/4 of max volume with bass and treble flat. set cross overs to HPF 100hz and turn up gain slowly until it distorts. Then back it off a hair, try this on a couple of different songs.

 

They will take 150watts if you're feeding them a clean signal.
