Default Power wire gauge sound digital 800.4

Wondering about power wire gauge for these 800.4. I read it needs 4 or 6. Issue i have using even 6gauge is the positive and ground on the are very small inputs physically...and they are right next to each other. So the 6 gauge wire is way big for it. It seems to be built for 8 gauge
any input? I'll be runningrall 4 channels 2 6.5 and 2 6x9

6ga is better, I think manual oddly recommend 7ga but 8ga ofc wire will do the trick

I've always ran 8 gauge OFC wire to 800.4. Due to short run lengths on sleds, this is no issue.

When I had my HD, I also ran 8awg from my distro block to the amps. I used ferrules and heat shrink. Nice solid connection. KnuKonceptz OFC wire.

The ferrules will work if you use the screw to tighten them down, I just tried to use the ferrules and crimp them with the square crimp tool and the 8 gauge square did not fit!

I ran 6 ga before I realized no way was that going to work right connecting to the amp. Now that the bike is all back together I plan to connect 8ga to that 6 to connect to the amp...ugg

I can see that. The 8 awg ferrule needs to be un-distorted to fit in the amp. The screw makes a nice indention in the ferrule when tightened down. I also put a small dab of blue Locktite on the set screw.
