I’ve had water inside the fairing plenty of times. After I installed my weather protection I rode in a good storm. When I got home I pulled the fairing off and there was moisture in the fairing. All around the windshield are gaps especially to the left and right of it. The vent in the fairing has gaps too.
holy ****, that's an awesome idea

I remember seeing on a thread somewhere that somebody had adjusted the mounting screws somehow to fill in that gap. I'm afraid I can't remember if it was this board or not but the guy somehow made adjustments to where the screws go through the mounting bracket of the radio and it allowed it to fit better.

I tried that, although maybe not the way thewither person did. It moved the radio in and out, but the actual mounting points on the dash kit never moved, so the gap never went away. I suppose with some creative engineering one could move the mounting holes a 1/4" to the rear which would push the dash kit forward a 1/4".
