I would not spend 3-4x the money on HD equipment. I would buy a Sony 7000 system that does everything a Boom system can do - for $550. Plenty of threads on here about this.

Brandon Smith I've considered the Sony. I have the 5000 in my work truck. One of my main needs for the boom is to accept and follow a formulated map. I believe I need the GPS function for that. Also, I like an OEM type set up. I know what you lose with the Sony is minor but I'm weird that way!
