Hi all, 2018 ultra classic. I recently swapped out my fairing speakers and added lower speakers with Polk audio 6.5's in all 4 holes. The speakers are 4 ohm wired in parallel off front channel of stock boom audio without amp. I wired the two sets of 4 ohm in parallel which should reduce to 2 ohm correct? My questions are? Do I need to have the head unit flashed for this new set up? Should I have tapped off the rear channel for more power since I run with the tour pak off 90% of the time? The sound is decent and definitely better but I think it could be better with either the two options above or just biting the bullet and adding an amp.
if adding an amp to this already installed set up what is my best option that isnt going to break the bank and I can install fairly easily. I think Rockford fosgate and JM Rokker have 4 channel plug and plays that wouldn't require a ton of rewiring. Does the dealership do the flash or go to an indy shop? I feel the indie shops would have preferred I built and had a system installed through them.
