Default Amp size and mounting help

So what is the physical maximum size amp (dimensions) I can mount in the fairing of my 15 Ultra? And do I just mount it on top of the radio? And what do you use to mount it? Velcro or some sort of bracket? Thanks for. your help

I don't know the measurements off hand, others might be able to chime in.
As for the mounting. I usually just Velcro the amp to the tip of the HU, and that has seemed to work pretty good. Make sure you use good quality Velcro. I have a roll of industrial Velcro that seems to work pretty good.
Do you have an amp in mind that you are trying to fit in your fairing? Someone might know if it will fit.

There is quite a wide range size of quailty sounding amps the will fit on the stock amp tray. The max footprint I have used is the JL XD400/4 which is 8.5x7x2. You also have to take into consideration of were the wire terminals are.

This amp kit comes with a big sheet of velcro to mount the amp on top of the radio tray. Works great.
