Default Speakers In Fairing

Hi everyone just seeking a little help,

I am setting up a 4 speaker system for now with lower fairing speaker pods in a 19 Electra Glide Standard. I have a Sony XAV 5000 H.U. with a SS PN4.1000D for the speakers and ST25 bullet tweeters. I have a big question about fairing speakers. I currently have a pair of Hertz SV165.1 SPL for the lowers fairing and having a hard time deciding on what speakers to compliment the SV165.1. From reading a ton of threads (which have been so helpful) about needing a "warm" speaker or a coaxial speaker. Maybe the PRV 6MR-500-NDY-4 (with pod modification and speaker rounding), MMats 6.5 or DB 6.5 for the fairing??????

Thanks for the help.

With the questionable power numbers from that amp, I'd go mmats. The PRVs are midrange, rather than midbass, and the db,if your talking about the moto series,is a coax. I us mmats and ds35t horns in my upper fairing and it sounds good.

Thanks, just asking, still learning, will the PA mmats 601.4 get overpowered from the SV165.1's in the lower fairings?

No, that's the same setup I use. They work well together. The Hertz will go higher in the frequency range to pick up where the mmats drop off.
