Default Tunning multiple speakers

When tuning multiple speakers do you make adjustments to each set of speakers while the others are off or while they are all on at the same time?

For instance This is what I have now. 2 mmats pa601.cx (in the fairing) and 2 pa690.4cx (in the lids) powered by a stinger 700x4 with a Dayton DSP. Do I mute the lids while I tune the fairing? Then mute the fairing while I tune the lids? Or do all 4 at ounce?

Tune each separately then fine tune with everything playing together.
