Boom audio and headsets
Sorry if this is a dead horse subject.
I have a 2019 Road Glide with the new Boom audio. The dealership told me that I do NOT have to purchase the WHIM but I would have to get the radio flashed. Does one still have to purchase HD stamped SENA headsets to get all of the functions on the bike to work and what is a viable option for a half helmet as well?

to get all of the functions to work, yes, you would need the whim. however, if you just want to use CarPlay without any of the voice controls, then you could get away with not having it flashed. you would be able to bluetooth your headset to your phone and not have any control of it through your bike.
it's a workaround. would save you $300. but you would definitely not have full control. really depends on your needs/wants.
