Audio help
Looking for some help. I can find bits and pieces of info but looking on what would be the best setup for me. I was looking at Soundz Custom bagger audio but they are very pricey and from my reading seem to possibly be over priced. They do seem to have the market cornered for simplicity( or good advertising of that).
I have a 2018 CVO Road glide which harley advertises at 600 watts. I would like something that is louder. Maybe in the 800 watt area with a nice sound. I am not looking to enter competitions or anything. I am not really set on a budget if it is worth it. I am pretty good mechanically and would like to retain a clean install. Not sure if I can use the factory wiring for the speaker lids and all. Any help would be appreciated

To confirm: you're looking at fairing and lid speakers only?

Yes just fairing and speaker lids. Not to hung up on a budget but not trying to spend more then needed. Ultimately need something that is louder then the Boom audio 2 and clear to hear. To give a better idea also, i wouldn't be looking to upgrade if my boom 2 was louder. Don't really have any complaints with the clarity of it .

stinger spx 700 amp
2 mmats 690 cc 6 x 9 speakers
Bt 355 front and rear line levelers
I think you'll need 5x7 to 6x9 adapters
And a wiring harness
Should put you around a grand.

Shopping lists make it easy lol. I am assuming that this would be a 700 watt system? Just verifying since those speakers show 100 WRMS. Would that mean they couldn't handle more then 100 watts? Also when you say wiring harness, is that just for the amp? Do the speakers use the factory wiring? Sorry for all the questions. Just trying to make sure I am understanding before I pull the trigger.

If you run the speakers Serial instead of Parallel, you’ll find a much better output and less OHM drain on the amps. Essentially you take the positive of the amp, connect it to the positive on the speaker. Then take that same speakers negative and connect it to the next speakers positive and so on till you get the last terminal and connect negative on the speaker to the negative on the amp. It’s be mono, but I had it weird that way on my old bike. Tons of output and ZERO clipping.

I was assuming he had speaker lids already since he has a CVO. I think several companies make adapters to fit 6x9's in 5x7 lids.

Can anyone explain the wiring to me? Is there a way I can use the factory wiring instead of running speaker wire to each of the speakers? If so what would I need to do.
