RG Rushmore Setup
Hey guys. I made the switch to a road glide Rushmore. I want to do 4 6.5’s(upper and lower fairing) and a set of horns. I plan to keep the stinger amp, DD DSI-2, and rockford tm400x4ad from old bike. Since space is limited with the new fairing what’s my options for speakers and amps? Thanks

4 6.5s for $500 I would honestly consider not using the horns and using the mmats pa601.cx. Another possibility may be the db wdx6moto G2s they are a little more efficient but not as warm. The efficiency helps in a shark nose because of the distance between your ears and the fairing. As far as amp strategy the stinger wired straight up on the mmats would work. If you went with the DB drives I think the stinger briged to the fairing and the RF briged to the lowers would work. A level control might help dial in the lowers.
Edit: Never mind use the DSP for level matching.

There is definitely plenty of room in a Rushmore RG. I'm currently putting 4 amps and a Dayton DSP in one, but its the right size amps in the right locations to make it work. Either one of those will fit, but I don't think they both will. You could use the Stinger and the MMats in the fairing and use Motos in the lowers. They both might fit if you were to change the HU and get a Lex Rivera amp mount.

I haven't had any experience with the Rockford amp but I have had an MMats MD4110, Stinger 700/4 and a DD DSI-2 in the nose of my Road Glide and I also had the same setup but an SD800.4 in place of the Stinger. All of these were installed in the nose prior to getting a Rivera amp rack. So they will go, just not positive on the Rockford.
