Ordered BT355 and Stinger 700...

 

So I see this thingy here, ??? Is this something I really need, or is it just something to make it easy to plug in ? I ask because, I bought a complete wiring harness from Garage Bagger. It had one of these in the "kit" I don't do a lot of audio so, a lot of this stuff is Greek to me. What is the original purpose of this LOC? Opinions?

 

Do you have a boom hu? Is it flashed? Why isn't garage bagger supporting their product? It's hard to answer questions without information.

An LOC takes speaker level signal from a head unit and converts it to line level that will work with an amplifiers rca(low level) inputs. On a Rushmore harley they aren't very useful as they do not correct the terrible boom eq built into the head unit.

 

I ended up with Radio -> BT355 -> short RCA cable -> Stinger 700 -> Kappas.

 

Yes stock HU. 6.5 I just wired it up according to the diagram. Went well. I just didn't know what it is supposed to do.
