Default Speakers

Also, as far as an amp. Is it better to tie it into the fairing speakers or run it just for saddlebag speakers ?

While kicker does make some decent speakers, bike audio has a few more challenges than a car. Will that reckless fairing take a full size single din radio? I know the 1 on my wifes bike a a small/ shallow opening and will not except a single din. What size speaker can you fit in it, 5" 5.5" or 6.5"?

I would definitely use a amp to push the fairing and the bags.

It has 4x 5.25 speakers. Appears to be a full size radio .

do I need an output converter in order to install an amp?

That is a full size single din, you can pretty much add any single din you like that has all the features your looking for in a radio. Most people like the Kenwood decks and they should have what you want. You will not need and adapter just some Rca's to get input into an aftermarket amp. You will have to run power and ground to the battery, a remote turn on wire from the deck to the amp, and run some speaker wire from the amp to your fairing speakers and to the bags if that is where your other speakers are.

Pretty easy to do!

is there a way to cut or grind the fairing so you can add 6.5" speakers ?

Cool thanks. There isn't a way to tie in the switched ignition to the stereo ?

So just to understand, the speakers plug into the stereo. Then rca cables run to the amp and then more speaker wires from the amp to the saddlebags?

not sure about the cutting.
