No need to be hooked up to a 2019 or 2020 bike if your GTS Boom is the "A" version after the part #.
Is the new USB-Cable required? Or does it work with the old one too?
I have the first GTS without A and old USB-Cable. Im using it with the Soundz Adapter.
I installed the newest software version to get the GTS working on older models. But its not working without Soundz adapter.

Morning all, I just purchased a take off 2019 GTS and bought the new usb cable for the install. I will be verifying software with a buddies 2019 if needed as the seller wasn't sure but according to this post, the part number should tell me.
Props to the shared info here and everyone that contributes. Tailwind has helped more than once on the audio end and it's still strong.
I already had the WHIM installed and use SENA 20 so we shall see how all this comes together soon.

Can I ask where you bought the take off radio? Good price??
But previous owner didn't note PN so if the unit is stamped, I can rest easy. I might have to plug in before knowing even though it came from a 2019 Bike, I don't want to assume.
