Now...not to throw a monkey wrench in your plans....but are you sure you'll never add another pair of speakers? lol I thought I wouldnt, but did. Coulda saved myself several hundred bucks, by planning better and getting a good 4 channel from the start. Just saying.

Well, let's start with the easy response of, how many people here did their first mod, claimed this was all they would ever need, and never opened the hood again? I'd be willing to bet, 90+% come back looking for upgrades.
Second, the SPX700x4 is advertised at 125w/Ch @ 4 Ohms, but show a real world ~101x/Ch, and they even include reports to that effect as well. I'd imagine the SPX350x2 performs similarly at a real world ~100w/Ch, give or take.
While I know the 601cx states an RMS of 100w and 150w Peak, I've seen tons of reports of folks feeding these speakers much more. I've seen a few running the SD800.4S with these which pushes ~144w and they are holding up rock solid.
With the street price difference between the 350 and the 700 being relatively small, you can bridge the 700 conservatively so that's not pushing as hard. Plus you get the future upgrade ability as well. With some of the deals I've seen floating around in the last 2 months on the 700, heck for $50 or in some cases less, that's money in the bank, imho.

I guess the other thing is, I'm seeing much, much better deals on the 700 than the 350, which for the most part brings them within a taco lunch. I can see if you are talking about being a few hundo over budget, but when you are talking a few dollars, at some point it's well worth biting the bullet, and having a couple of TV dinners.
