Default Bridging Speakers, amps,etc........

Hello,

I always see people posting comments about bridging speakers. Then when I look google "bridging speakers" it always talk about bridging Subs or just one speaker. So, My question is : how are people bridging their speakers in the fairing and so on.With a four channel amp and trying to bridge the fairing, where does that leave the lower fairing speakers?

Also, when people talk about supplying more voltage to the amp or speakers, how is that done?

^^^^^What he said^^^^^^

Depending on just what amp and what speakers you are running you may not need to bridge your amp.

I would like to know when to bridge and when not to bridge. but I gather it depends on the setup.

Guys that are bridging amps in their setups, planned out their setups beforehand with this in mind. It's not something you can just decide to do one day to your 8-10 speaker system without completely re-evaluating your amp to speaker setup.

You need the right speaker resistance and the right amp to handle that resistance when bridged.

This comes into play especially with the SD amps.
That 800.4 (2ohm)
If you hook up (4) 4ohm speakers, you are getting 61 watts each. So 244 watts out of 800 possible..Not good..

But if you wire (2) 4ohm speakers in parallel and run that amp bridged you get 200 watts per speaker in mono vs stereo.

Look at the red dot ratings.

This is why SBates said to plan this out, or you will have mismatched gear and leave alot of power on the table.

Let make see if I understand this concept.
SO for example, of I was was to run my Arc in bridge mode j would parallel the fairing speakers both upper and lower ,upper on 1&2, lower 3&4 .that would be 300 and 300 for a total of six hundred. Well the arc is 150 par channel anyway, so what is the difference? Just trying to figure out when and with not too.
