Riding to work today, my front fairing sounded "hollow" . I am assuming this is because of the bt brackets, but I could be wrong. I have dynamat in the fairing, but can I put more in to try to keep the waves coming straight out?
Some of us have had a little bit of success putting polyfill around the speakers. To me that helped a tiny bit with this issue. If you try that and it doesn't help maybe tinker with your tune on those channels a bit. I can't remember, are you using a DSP?

Did u use the backer rod that came w the BT brackets?
Did u get spacers & bolt the inner fairing to the BT brackets to stabilize the entire fairing?
T
Yes to both. The backer rod is taped in and I broke the first set of bolts and BT had to send me another set. And, the j&m tray is bolted to the brackets.

What specific bolts are u talking about? I don't think BT provides spacers & bolts for the inner fairing attachment.
The standoffs for the lower two bolts to the fairing.
Then ur missing one bolt on each side and they are located up near the upper outside gauges. 1/4 20 and about an inch and 1/2 and also some nylon spacers u can grind to fit perfectly. It really tightens up that inner fairing.
Not sure if it's gonna tighten up ur sound too much but it sure as hell tightens up that inner fairing from rattling around like a ****.
The holes are pre-drilled in the BT bracket so have a peek the next time u pop the hood.
