with the storm stuff and regular shop stuff going on, i've not had the chance to get them installed. hoping for an attempt on sunday. the program power thing is used in a lot of add stuff and i dont pay much attention to it. i've got plenty of power to throw at these, but one of the reasons i got excited about them is the lower power spec, if it works out, i'll be able to install a less powerful amp with the hopes of lowering the demand on the charging system. if they run good with 300-400 watts it seems like it would work out. i'll report after i get them in.

WHAT IS PROGRAM POWER?
The program power rating is the maximum wattage that the speaker can handle in bursts. Therefore the program power is double the RMS rating. The term Program Power is outdated and derives from old swept sine wave power tests. Nowadays, it holds no real meaning.

Ok,
I got them in this afternoon, mounting was straightforward, the hole pattern was the same as the PRV 10 MB1000s that came out. I did not get time to tune them, so i had to live with turning the amp gain down to a liveable level to give them so break in time. I should get some tuning time in Monday, but with just the straight swap they seemed to sound pretty good, as there didn't seem to be any big losses. I'll get in some more detais tomorrow after i get in some tuning time, but it looks promising!
More tomorrow.
