Stinger SPX700X4 Tuning ?
Unfortunately the only instruments I have for tuning any amp are a DMM and my ears! LOL I'm Installing this amp in a buddys ride this weekend......................My ? is anyone else running this amp do you know approximately where the 80hz to 110hz settings would be on the Freq adjustment dials? They go from 40hz up to 400hz..............................Thanks in advance!!

I've never used this amp, but this is how I would do it. Based on what you wrote, full left is 40hz, full right is 400hz. That's a difference of 360hz. Half way would be 180hz. That should be appx your 12:00 position. Difference between 180hz and 40hz is 140hz. That's the difference between 12:00 and full left. Half way between those points would be 70hz. You can eye ball it from there.

There are many ways to do it, but one way is to play a tone at 80Hz (or whatever) and adjust to that point. You can play one from your phone, on bluetooth and through the radio, from a site like this: http://onlinetonegenerator.com/subwoofer.html
That should get you close. Just remember if you are trying to get 80 hz from a 6.5" speaker, it's not going to be very happy at high volume. Just keep your expectations realistic.

turn the cross over all the way to 40hz side
get a 80 hz test tone, play it at 1/4 volume, turn the cross over up till you just start to hear the tone. that should be right at your 80 hz area, maybe a little to the right or left with the built in amplifier slope.
you can do the same thing with a 100hz tone.
Of course your gains should already be set!

So set the HU to flat, Volume to 3/4 running a 1khz test tone and set the gains with the DMM first? Then do what you suggested? And what has the built in amplifier slope?

The manual says 12dB slope.

Sorry Juice, I guess I was never aware of all amps having amp slope and or what it does and or what I'm supposed to be targeting while tuning the amp?
