Hertz Legend in fairing

Hertz Legend in fairing
I am currently running the biketronics 7.1 pro I. The front fairing. They are powered off a BT4250. I was looking around and noticed American hard bags makes a descent grill for the Hertz Mille legend. Seems to be mixed reviews about them on the forum. I am also running. Just the legend woofer in the rear pod and DD VO6.5M in the lower fairing pods. This is done with BT-355 line levers that will soon be removed as well. Just looking for some input. I see lots of you are running Beyma and horns but I don’t think I want to cut holes or remove gauges at this point. So not considering price what is going to perform better than the hertz?

XBS Customs has some cool grills if u want to use that for the fairing tweeter/horn mount.

Dammit beat me to it. I will add that if you are looking for extreme volume then the mlk's are not for you. They have superb SQ but don't get real loud. I am currantly running a set of hertz ml 1800.3's in my fairing with a set of beyma ast-50 horns in some jarz pods and couldn't be happier with the SQ from them. No drilling holes in the fairing or loosing gauges. Not the cheapest way to go but damn good SQ.

I am looking for more bottom end at speed. Those HAT rebrands don't cut it. Honestly I think boom stage 1 speakers in the fairing sounded deeper just not as loud or clear.
I really hope this BT4250 doesn't end up being the component holding this system back. Loud and clear right now but too bright and no lows. Hmmm maybe its a Bose system? All highs no lows must Bose!
Thanks for the input Gypsy and T!

You are never gonna get a lot of lows out of a 6.5 so don't set your expectations high. Those ml1800's will require the mount holes to be made bigger and then they will screw into the brackets via the 7.1 hole pattern. They also require a 2/3" spacer so the excursion wont hit the bracket. Just be careful not to get too big of a spacer or the outer fairing wont fit tight as it will hit the speaker. I bought 3/4" and drimmeled them down a bit.
