I still like the Stevens audio mb8 for the rear lid if nothing in bags. Decent smooth speaker that will do well in the 70hz range. Not the loudest vocals but still a good sound. Available in 4 and 2 ohm. You want loud and clean 8mr500 but will lack some low end.

I know I'm chasing the damn unicorn guys. I'm not unrealistic, although my expectations may be. I just want some solid low end with volume. If realistic low end at speed is 80hz, then it's 80hz. The problem is I have no experience with it and too many damn websites promise way too much. I don't need it to sound like a pair of 10s I had in my Mustangs trunk. I just want a little kick or thump or however you want to put it. Those Stevens look really nice, and the GZ have a great reputation.

Oh and something I don't have to cut or grind to fit.

Hit the reset button on anything u bought and roll in on JL 880s & lids that will accommodate them. Waterproof and just a damn good full range speaker.

If u start chasing these fantasy bass playing PA 8s ur ultimately gonna go down a ton of rabbit holes spending far more cash than just going directly to the 880 finish line. 175 to 200 watts and get ur groove on.

I second T! The other great thing about the 8.8’s: the F’ing last forever. I’ve been beating the crap out of mine for 3 years. Bought them used from Sly who beat them even more than I did! I guarantee you won’t be disappointed with them. Yes they are spendy, but buy once and be done. I’ve crossed mine as low as 65, with 200 watts to them. They hit man!

Are the 770s a big drop off?

Just to hop on the band wagon. My 880's are the only upgrade I haven't even considered changing. For a riders bike, they just make sense. Buy once, cry once!!

Those are basically an oversized 6.5. Nothing compared to the 8.8's.

I'll agree the 880 are a good overall lid speaker. 200 watts each and bang away. If 13 down get fkm lids. Fits 880 bit less work and better fitment. Otherwise just mock up and test fit vodoo lid prior to paint.

I'm a 19, so I see no cheap alternative. Wife's gonna hate this one.
