Help Am I burning Mp3's wrong
OK, I cannot understand what is wrong. I am burning Mp3 files to a CD and notice that when the HK radio gets to track 8, it will skip to 9, 10 or sometime track 11. Now for the strange part. This is happening to 2 different HK radios… one that was repaired by Iron Cross last year.
I am using 2 different brands of CD’s and it is the same on both HK radios… and yes Iron Cross did replace the CD player part that sometimes goes bad. This is happening when parked or riding. I have been in the shop today and the same CD skipped in both CD players at the same point.
I am using Memorex and HP brand CD’s. I use Windows Media Player to burn the disk as Data disk at the slowest speed.
What am I doing wrong?

For the stock HK radios, it's important to burn the files as DATA not MUSIC. Then you can fit a ton more on the disc, and the radio will recognize the disc as MP3 with the mark on the display.
I like to number each track so that you can put the tracks in the preferred order, IE:
01 Blackdog
02 Stairway...
Etc, this way the display also lists the track number and song name.
Also, rip the original music to 320kb for the best possible SQ. I can get nearly 100 320kb songs on one 700MB CD-R that sound much better than an IPOD or Bluetooth.

Thanks for all the help. I went thru all 94 Mp3 files and deleted everything I could except name of song and group. Burning another CD and will give it a try later tonight.
