Default Sound dampening in batwing

I removed my pods and installed the BT brackets and 7.1s. What are you using in your fairing to help enrich the sound? I have researched the sound deadening sheets but think if I covered the inside of the fairing, I may have a heat issue.

I don't see why those would create a heat issue unless you sit parked in the sun with the tunes cranked up.

The fairing still breathes.

When UltraNutz was the audio guru here a while back the suggestion was made to put poly fill over the speakers and wire tie it to the speaker frame. I did that and it made a world of difference. I think what it did was keep the sound from bouncing around inside the fairing

Biketronics is working on an aperiodic enclosure to go along with the adapters. I have a set being shipped to me now. I have the issue with sound of the 7.1 pro in my fairing. When first installed I did not fit the foam around the front of the speakers. That helped a bit and the covered the inside with dynamat extreme. That helped a bit too. I’ll report back once I ge the enclosures installed.

That’s going to be my next step along with the rings.

I just put some polyfil around the 7.1's in the fairing. My lowers are a different story. It seems the speakers are open to the elements on the bottom. I don't recall if this was the same on my 16 SGS. I purchased Harley lowers and pods, installed but there isn't anything under the speaker to block rain/mist nor dampen the sound. Any remedies out there? I can stuff polyfil up there I guess.

There are two different types of polyfill, one is sheets which are an eighth of an inch to a quarter of an inch thick, the other is stuffing like what comes in a pillow. The sheets have proven the most affective . Some like 1 or 2 or 3 layers, up to your ears on that part.

Red, did you get these enclosures? Could you follow up with your opinion of them?
