Default What amp after a DA 4v2?

I am running a Diamond Audio 4v2 with a pair of HERTZ HCX 165 in the fairing. I had bridged the amp previously but kept blowing the speakers as pushing 300w a channel and speakers were rated at 200....opps.

I have now reconfigured my amp and running the speakers at stock output i.e. 80 watts a channel (4 ohms), but damn it I am missing the volume

Guess I have a few options:
1) Change amp to one with a higher output for 2 channel - however might add extra speakers at a later date so 4 channel amp would be better
2) Re-Bridge amp and buy higher output speakers - Not sure which ones?
3) Buy 2 ohm speakers which my existing amp would push more power to 150watts = louder

Recommendations please

Bridge the amp and set the gains to a level the speakers can handle, like 150 or so.

I only know how to see the gains for maximum efficiently, i.e turn head unit up to about ¾ , 3 makers on right not taken, then slowly increase gain until distortion is heard and then back off a little.

I have crossover set as flat

Is there something I am missing, I am no audio expert.

The speakers was Ok before, but if I cranked the head unit up, even for short time it blew speakers ;(

You can run a 1000hz test tone and hook a meter to the amp outputs with hu volume at 3/4 (no speakers hooked up). Follow the chart in the sticky to determine watts. Amp output is in AC volts.

Looks like u are doing everything right, BUT there is one thing !!! U are setting your setting the amp crossover on Flat. It should be on high pass ! Then adjust your crossover between 80hz - 120hz then adjust your gains till it hits thee sweet spot. This will protect your speakers a lot more.
